Gopal has an engineering degree from Anna University, Chennai, India and an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has worked in various capacities in Godrej & Boyce for 13 years and handled all operations for the Northern Indian region as Regional Manager till 1989.
He then moved to NIIT, a leading IT services / IT education company, where he was the head of the Computer education business. He joined the Board of the Company in 1996 and established the European subsidiary of the Company in London, UK. He launched the Software services operations for the company in Europe and served as Managing Director of NIIT Europe till 2000, before he joined Raj Vattikuti in 2001.
With Vattikuti ventures, he was based out of the US and held various roles in different companies of the group. As Vice President- International operations of Synova, he established operations for the company in India and China. He moved to India as Managing Director of Altimetrik India- a software services company- till 2014, when he moved to Vattikuti Technologies, which handled the sales and service of the da-Vinci surgical Robotic system, as CEO from 2015 till date. He is a Director on the Board of all the Vattikuti group companies in India.
Gopal had extensive experience in international operations, strategic planning and resource management. He is also a Director of the Vattikuti Foundation, and was instrumental in launching the rural poverty alleviation program of the Foundation in India along with Raj Vattikuti.
